“The graphic design course gave me the space to experiment and find my visual voice, but it was the creative environment – the people, the support, the shared studios – that really shaped how I work. I felt encouraged to take risks, to collaborate, to push ideas further.”
Jamie credits his time studying Graphic Design BA(Hons) at the Â鶹´«Ã½ with giving him the freedom to explore and grow. The university’s emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration allowed him to blend illustration and design, building a foundation that’s served him in the fast-paced world of sports media.
Professor Tamar Jeffers McDonald, Dean of the School of Art and Media, said: “We’re incredibly proud to see Jamie’s work resonate at both a national and international level. His creative journey embodies the kind of impact we aim to inspire in our students – a mix of talent, curiosity, and the courage to do things differently.”
Jamie’s work continues to be shaped by strong community partnerships and the power of local networking – from early collaborations with local football clubs to ongoing projects with Brighton-based creatives and organisations, including local restaurant Palmito.
