| Description: | Awarded to a deserving student who has graduated from a PEI high school and is entering first year of the four year Sustainable Design Engineering program at Â鶹´«Ã½. |
| Background: | These annual scholarships are established at the Â鶹´«Ã½ by Bill Andrew and his wife, Denise. Bill Andrew received his Diploma in Engineering from Â鶹´«Ã½ in 1973 and became Chancellor of the Â鶹´«Ã½ in 2004. Bill Andrew is currently President of Penn West Petroleum Ltd. and is active in various community and philanthropic endeavours. He is a founding member of the Friends of Â鶹´«Ã½ group in Calgary, has a farm on PEI, and is active in PEI and national harness racing circles. |
