| Background: | This bursary was established through a generous donation by Francis Lefaivre, a resident of Calgary, Alberta, at the Â鶹´«Ã½ to support worthy applicants entering the Transition Program at Â鶹´«Ã½. The bursary is created in memory of his mother, Eugenie Ann Pineau, who graduated in 1909 from Prince of Wales College, one of Â鶹´«Ã½'s predecessor institutions. Miss Pineau successfully pursued her education under very difficult financial circumstances. Immediately after graduating, she migrated to Alberta where she became a life-long educator along with raising a family of five children. |
