The Jane DiCarlo rink, from the Crapaud Community Curling Club, won its second PEI women’s curling championship in a row at the West Prince Curling Club in Woodstock on January 25 and are headed to the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Hockey and Basketball Panthers are looking forward to a week of competition at home and away.

The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Health and Wellness Centre has received a grant from the provincial government’s 2024–2025 LIVE WELL PEI Wellness Grant Program to educate Âé¶¹´«Ã½ students about reducing harms related to alcohol through awareness campaigns and education modules.

The (IUPAC) Global Women’s (and Allies) breakfast (GWB) will be held at the Fox & Crow, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, on February 11, 2025, from 7:00–9:00 am.

On Monday, February 10, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ will welcome celebrated professor and author of "Hope Circuits: Rewiring Universities and other Systems for Human Flourishing", Dr. Jessica Riddell, back to campus. All members of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ community are invited to attend!

Aadesh Nunkoo, a Master of Science student at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½, was recently awarded one of two by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) and the Actuarial Students’ National Association (ASNA).

The Pan-African flag was raised at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ on Monday, February 3, to mark Black History Month by Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president academic and research at Âé¶¹´«Ã½; Jessica Ekeleme, president of the African Students Association; and Tamara Steele, executive director of the Black Cultural Society of Prince Edward Island.

Each year at Âé¶¹´«Ã½, approximately 150 residence students remain on campus during the break between first semester exams and early January when students return to classes for the second semester. This year, the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ International Student Office, in cooperation with Student Affairs staff, Campus Life Advisors, Residence Life, and the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Alumni Association, supported and organized some activities for these students during the break, providing a sense of community and connection.

Every week, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Panther Athletes of the Week for January 27 to February 2, 2025, are Alaere Peterside (women’s track and field) and Jakob Robillard (men’s hockey).
