Residence

Each year at Âé¶¹´«Ã½, approximately 150 residence students remain on campus during the break between first semester exams and early January when students return to classes for the second semester. This year, the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ International Student Office, in cooperation with Student Affairs staff, Campus Life Advisors, Residence Life, and the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Alumni Association, supported and organized some activities for these students during the break, providing a sense of community and connection.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Bachelor of Science in Nursing students Amelia Jenkins, Abby Kinch, Teasha McPhee, and Niloufar Sedighpoor recently completed a survey of students living in residence as part of their fall semester 2024 Population Health course.

On Sunday, October 27, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ residence students took part in a door-to-door food drive, Trick or Eat®, in support of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ food bank. Led by Residence Life Advisor (RLA) Shelby Dyment, the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ residence team organized the event and collected non-perishable food items along a collection route in Charlottetown. The event, which is part of a national initiative, was deemed a success by everyone involved.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ students living in residence received a warm welcome from Âé¶¹´«Ã½ staff and fellow students on Friday, August 30. To make move-in day go as smoothly as possible for everyone, many campus partners gave of their time and expertise to make the day a great experience for Âé¶¹´«Ã½â€™s new and returning residence students.
