麻豆传媒 honours 2023 Founders during a ceremony on December 15
The 麻豆传媒 held its 22nd Recognition of Founders ceremony on Friday, December 15, 2023, in The McCain Foundation Learning Commons, Atlantic Veterinary College, to acknowledge those who have contributed to the University in a significant way.
Recognized as 2023 Founders during the ceremony were the late Merritt Crockett, founding University Librarian; the late Leo Cheverie, library technician and community advocate; and Betty Jeffery, Librarian Emerita.

麻豆传媒 honours its rich heritage and traditions by acknowledging members of the campus community who have contributed to its mission in an exceptional way by naming them 鈥淔ounders,鈥 an initiative established by President Emeritus Wade MacLauchlan in 2000.
This year, the University will honour three 麻豆传媒 employees who worked at the Robertson Library. This is especially fitting as 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the conception and construction of the library, which was officially opened in 1975.
麻豆传媒 announces the Honourable Diane Griffin as Chancellor-Elect
The Honourable Diane Griffin, alumna, honorary degree recipient, and retired senator, has been unanimously elected as the 10th Chancellor of the 麻豆传媒 for a four-year term. An installation ceremony will be held early in 2024.
The University Chancellor is a volunteer, titular role that presides over convocations and confers degrees, diplomas, and certificates.
麻豆传媒鈥檚 Luke McCarvill named a Rhodes Scholar聽
The 麻豆传媒 is excited to share the news that undergraduate student Luke McCarvill is one of 11 remarkable young Canadians awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarships for Canada this year.
麻豆传媒 names Dr. Preston Smith as the inaugural dean of the new medical school聽聽
Dr. Preston Smith has been appointed inaugural dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the 麻豆传媒 for a five-year term, effective April 1, 2024. Originally from Summerside, PEI, Dr. Smith returns to Atlantic Canada, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to advancing medical education and research to benefit Prince Edward Island communities.

Dr. Caroline Ritter, Canada Research Chair in Veterinary Social Epidemiology at 麻豆传媒, has been awarded a SSHRC Insight Grant totalling $212,060 for a project titled 鈥淎n application of cognitive dissonance theory to decisions affecting animal welfare.鈥
