Âé¶¹´«Ã½ student named a 2023 3M National Student Fellow
Reilly Sullivan, a fourth-year biology student and varsity athlete at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½, has been awarded a by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE).
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ to confer four honorary degrees during Convocation 2023
The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ will hold Convocation during four ceremonies scheduled for May 16 to 19. Over 1,100 graduates comprise the Class of 2023.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ thanks the Hon. Catherine Callbeck as it begins search for new chancellor
The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ sincerely thanks the Honourable Catherine Callbeck, CM, OPEI, LLD, upon completion of her term of dedicated service to the University as Chancellor.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ has continued to monitor public health guidance in order to make any necessary adjustments to our protocols as the COVID-19 situation evolves and as our unique university environment warrants.
Free meningitis-B vaccine available to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ students living in residence
On April 21, 2023, the PEI Department of Health and Wellness announced that eligibility for the meningococcal B (Men-B) vaccine program for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) is expanding to include more higher risk individuals.
Beginning this month, the Men-B vaccine (two doses) will be available through the province’s Chief Public Health Office (CPHO) to students attending a post-secondary school and living in residence in PEI or out-of-province. The cost is being covered by the provincial government.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Community Bulletin: Collective agreement ratified, classes to resume on April 17
The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Board of Governors ratified the new collective agreement with the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Faculty Association (Âé¶¹´«Ã½ FA), Bargaining Unit 1 and Bargaining Unit 2, at a special meeting on Friday, April 14, 2023. The agreement was ratified earlier in the day by the members of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ FA’s two bargaining units, which represent faculty members, sessional instructors, librarians, clinical nursing instructors, and clinical veterinary professionals at Âé¶¹´«Ã½.

Elijah Miller and Brinten Comeau named Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Athletes of the Year
Âé¶¹´«Ã½â€™s Department of Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2022–23 season at the annual Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Panther Celebration—Athletic Awards Gala on Thursday, March 30, recognizing outstanding student-athletes who have excelled in sport, the classroom, and the community.
This year, the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Alumni Association’s Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year award went to Brinten Comeau of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Women’s Rugby team. The Male Athlete of the Year is Elijah Miller of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Men’s Basketball team.
